not to me it is'nt. Whenever I go to Lidl or Aldi I see and hear lots of Eastern europeans speaking their languages. At work I see and hear Africans speaking a foreign tongue also. So what is wrong with using an teanga Gaeilge? The Irish language.
A recent report shows that the Irish language is in decline in the Gaeltacht. Especially among young people. English is the dominant language of the internet, facebook, commerce and music. So this is to be expected. Is there any way this decline can be halted? slán agus beannacht.
