RE: What would you do if others made you feel this way?

Well...assuming that I'm still 'hanging out' with the people who 'hate' me...I would have access to various areas of their homes. I would just play it off like I didn't realize they were trying to ostracize me. That way...I could have some fun at their expense.

I'd put saran-wrap across their toilets, under both the lid and the seat (of course this would be done immediately before leaving).

If I could think of an excuse to shut off their main breaker...I'd turn their electricity off and switch the breakers. So that when they turned on the kitchen light....a light in a bedroom came on, etc. (I doubt if I could pull this off...since they do 'hate' me and probably wouldn't consend to let me mess with their electricity),

I'd put cans on tuna all around their house....in the air ducts, back corners of pantries and closets, etc. It would take them weeks to get the smell out of the house.

I'd post a sign for 'Estate Sale' with their address at the end of their street. Just the people stopping by to inquire about the 'sale' would drive them insane.

That's all I can think of....for now.

RE: What would you do if others made you feel this way?

I'd leave.....but not before I pranked them.

RE: who are the most spiritually advanced beings on planet earth ? and why ?

oops! hit the wrong button on the poll. meant to hit the spiritual, but not religious button. truthfully, though...i don't think that question can be answered conclusively by a poll.

RE: Any D&D players here?

That's it? That's all the D&D players on CS?

RE: "A good woman..."

lovely poem

RE: Describe yourself in one word?

nonconformist

RE: Any D&D players here?

Yep....I've played in quite a few D&D marathons myself. I've been lucky in the fact that I can usually find D&D players wherever I go. I was introduced to the group I play with now by my brother. My list of characters is pretty diverse. As anyone can see who's already read my previous posts. In the current campaign...I'm playing an 8th level Rogue/1st level Consort of Olidammara.

RE: Any D&D players here?

Did I break the thread? confused

RE: Any D&D players here?

And the other party members didn't try to beat you down? You must have been the DM's favorite.

RE: Any D&D players here?

Yep....same here. Good friends share and help each other out.

RE: Any D&D players here?

Yes...most of them. Apparently, not all of them. My friends are like my family. I know that they would never do anything like that to me.

RE: Any D&D players here?

I've never DM'd. I have too much fun being a PC. But....I have had several PC's retired to become NPC's. I've played a couple of Anti-Paladins. One...Dafne...was actually an Anti-Paladin/Magic-User. I can't remember what level Mage she was when she retired, though. She's an old character from over 20 years ago. So....I didn't write down her Mage class in my list of characters on this thread. Okay..enough of my useless and trivial information.

I told my friends about your 'so-called' friends stealing your D&D books from you Mouse. They were shocked. As was I. I've never heard of such a thing. I always thought there was supposed to be some sort of comradery and loyalty amongst fellow D&D players. I guess not.

RE: Any D&D players here?

Hmmm.....looks like there's not too many D&D or ex-D&D players on CS.

RE: Any D&D players here?

I'm sorry to hear about your treacherous friends. Or shall I say...so called friends? I play with a great bunch of friends. Usually, I'm the only female playing in the group. I've been playing with this group for almost 10 years now. We also play a fantasy-based strategy card game called Magic the Gathering. We're a very close-knit group. It sucks that you live in the 'Bible belt.' These religious fanatics know little, if anything, about the game. Most of them think we actually conjure up devils, demons and other various monsters right in our living rooms. Or that we case mind-altering spells on others to get our way. What part of fantasy-role playing game don't they understand? They're more dangerous than the people actually playing the game.

RE: Any D&D players here?

I've been playing D&D for almost 25 years now. I play every other weekend.....since I live so far away from my friends. Someone else plays my character for me when I'm absent. In the current campaign, I'm playing a gnomish rogue. In the previous campaign, I played an Elven ranger. I prefer Rangers, Archers, Clerics and Druids. But, I have played almost every class....except a monk. Typically, my alignments are neutral, neutral good and chaotic neutral. Playing on the computer is too impersonal for me. There's not too many female D&D players out there. We are a rare breed.

It's great to meet a fellow D&D player....or ex-player here on CS.

handshake

RE: On the problem of freewill.

dammit!! just noticed my typos.

RE: Emotional Blackmail

It also sounds like this type of behavior is environmental and he's learned it from his family. He sounds like a twisted control freak...who cares for nobody but himself.

Burn the canoe...with him in it....and invite friends over to roast marshmallows.

He's friggin' waste of humanity. A load that should have been shot on a wall.

Sorry...I call it like I see it.

RE: Emotional Blackmail

that thumbs up was for Jodigirlsfree. I agree....you can always shoot him (the ex-boyfriend).

RE: Emotional Blackmail

RE: God...fact or fiction?

no wait....it was archeology. I was right the first time.

anyhoo

RE: Share please

Jesus Is Watching You

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shone his flashlight around looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, "Jesus is watching you.”

He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight out, and froze. When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head then clicked the light on and began searching for more valuables.

Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, "Jesus is watching you."

Freaked out, he shone his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.

"Did you say that?" He hissed at the parrot.

"Yep," the parrot confessed, and then squawked, "I'm just trying to warn you."

The burglar relaxed. "Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?"

"Moses," replied the bird.

"Moses?" the burglar laughed. "What kind of people would name a bird Moses?"

"The same kind of people that would name a Rottweiler Jesus."

RE: God...fact or fiction?

Sorry...my bad....meant to say anthropology, not archeology.

RE: God...fact or fiction?

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us?
Just a stranger on a bus trying to make his way home?

Nobody knows who or what 'God' is....and probably never will. It's a very subjective subject. At least, as far as I'm concerned. Sorry, I'm not as educated as some of the other people on this thread. I do like to keep a sense a humor about me, though. As my previous post shows. God is funny. Don't believe me? Go to Wal-Mart's and observe the people. I have no conclusive idea how mankind got on this planet. I'm suspecting some kind of extraterrestrial, Mr. Chemistry set kind of thing. Sorry....I can't describe it any other way. Creationism doesn't answer the question why archeologists keep finding human fossils dating well before the 'creation' of Adam and Eve. Evolution doesn't answer the question of the 'missing link'. So...the answer HAS to lie somewhere in between. I think 'God' is in all things. He/She/It is everywhere. In the trees, the rocks, the moon, the stars, etc, etc, etc.

Some may agree with me. Others may not. Doesn't really matter to me. That's my story....and I'm sticking to it.

RE: God...fact or fiction?

I've met 'God'. I even think my friend has a picture of him doing dishes....lol
