RE: Confidence

I don't really understand your question.

There is a difference between being confident and how you portray yourself to others. That is more a reflection of your personality.

I don't imagine you are going wrong unless not showing that confidence is having a detrimental affect on you.

I would think that the backgrounds of those who go to Public Schools play a part in guiding their kids to be confident and then the Public Schools themselves continue that process.

There are people who are incredibly thick from all backgrounds who are supremely confident as they are too thick to realise how thick they are and how little they know about anything. They lack shame and embarrassment and self-awareness and thus can be complete plonkers, make a mess of jobs they have and still think they are brilliant.

Stay the way you are, you seem like a lovely lady.

RE: Collections for charity

For years charities have not prepared accounts. The fact that this may cost them money is hardly an excuse not to prepare accounts as they don't mind paying the expense of their employees.

Where money is given to open boxes and people don't explain where money goes is a recipe for fraud.

A lot of charities which are supposed to help vulnerable people or animals are un-contactable after 5.00pm. They exist for their directors and employees. Vulnerable people and animals don't stop being vulnerable after office hours.

The % of money collected by charities that goes on admin. is ridiculous.

I had a woman call to my door collecting for her son's local GAA club. The GAA gets lots of grants and if you want your son to play a sport buy a jersey etc. instead of the latest gadget for your son and expect other people to pay for his jersey.

Charity collectors get commission and often don't care whether the person they are putting pressure on to give money can afford it or not. They are sales people for a business who pays it's employees first before giving any money to the cause they supposedly support. People have been pressurised in to signing up for standing orders without consideration of whether they can afford it or not.

Giving money to open buckets should be discouraged, you can't trust charities, you can't trust priests, you can't trust politicians. Trust no-one. They are all out to get your money.

You can however trust me. Please donate money for my goldfish's retirement fund to Sort Code 35-89-20, Account no. 21654903. It's a very worthy cause.
