RE: Amsterdam: Businessman Returns From Vacation to Find His Property Occupied by 40 Asylum Seekers

Please don’t throw Brexit into the mix - you have no idea of the emotional distress being caused by that situation.
Like a number of comments to this situation Brexit is an example of ‘Cut your nose off to spite your own face’. My people have been led by the nose by a group of very very clever manipulative politicians who have their own agenda. The majority of them are bullies by nature.
Europe is not the only area experiencing supra migration at the moment, or am I reading fake news?
I’m am genuinely saddened to learn of the distress experienced by the owner in Amsterdam. Possibly, but naive and failed to pay for effective security to guard the honeypot. But on the other hand - who created the law which made the squat legal. Happens all the time, by the way, it’s not just migrants. It’s been legal for the homeless to occupy abandoned property for centuries. A humane view and sensible view taken by an informed judiciary.
It’s a sad world whichever way you look at it, ain’t it?

RE: are you willing to meet your new found love who lives thousands of miles from you?

Yup - been the whole 6,000 miles.
Alternative is to fall in love with a portrait - See what happened when Henry VIII chose his bride by that method. History says she escaped with her head, ‘twas H who lost his.
So many photos show someone years younger than the owner, pointless.
And, btw, the Q. is Would you fly ... to MEET someone? Interesting how many have answered a Q.of their own invention, just to make a point of a different complexion.
doh Makes the poll statistically useless.
Lewis Carroll gets it right when his character adds a codicil to the Q .. And did you? Now that would add some relevance, maybe.
Have to admit that I had access to staff discount that made the exercise viable.
And, for the curious - Yes, it nearly worked out.
For the disdained ... made another of 10,000 miles - and she never turned up!
Oh, well It’s only plastic ... til the bill turns up a month later. Chew on that!
Any Siberian’s or Aussies out there want to tempt me?
Crisis? What Crisis? xx

RE: Are there any Genuine people left on this earth?

“The whole world is a stage and we mortals, merely actors upon it ... “ A truism which observes a simple truth. So, the gameplay is to try and be honest and admit a fault if conscience or circumstances challenge or intervene. Treat one another as you would wish to be treated is a fine premise to live by, isn’t it. Deception can be such a subtle thing, can’t it? A wig, a lipstick a photo touch up, even a raised eyebrow can imply something it is not. In the real world every living thing wrestles with this phenomona. Consider the Venus fly trap or those gorgeous, exotic flora and flora evolved to deceive their prey - sometimes you and me. Be alert and if not, be lucky!

RE: Men, how would y9u handle this?

Could you quantify that for.me, brother? I ask, ‘cos in my experience there’s some documented evidence that’s too, too much for one guy, whoever he is. Nice thought, though.
