After a year he would know if it was time for the next step. Right now he is happy with whatever you are providing "risk free." Time to cut him off and move on.
There is way for you to "set age parameters" on your profile. Check on how that is done. Still, this a public "free" website so the weirdos in our world are going to have a great time harassing the serious people. The weirdos are in every age group. About half the women I contact on this site are frauds. I use a "pay" site and the frauds are there, also. Concentrate on the solution, not the problem.
