I think it would be a mistake. Nothing but friendship. I don't care how mutual the divorce or split is there is always some "baggage". People need to take the time to recover before embarking on another "serious" relationship.
Mine is part of a nickname given to me by a good friends 25 years ago when I wore a glitzy red dress to a party. She has called me fe fe larou ever since.
Wow, it sounds like a lot of interesting and diversified jobs (or career's). I work in the corporate office of a large supermarket chain in the accounting department. I deal with the vendors we purchase our product from, I bill them for all the ads and promotions. Not anywhere as interesting as what phoenix does but it keeps me from being bored.
Life is short, cherish every moment. Speak softly, for you may have to eat your words. Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. Look for the good in everyone. If you are going to do something, do it right. larou :)
Email? Flowers? Either one shows interest. I received two flowers today and one email, and I responded to all three with equal amount of attention. Some people like the emails because they are a little more personal. Both are a great way of showing interest. larou
At my age you don't want to date anyone too much older. LOL All kidding aside, age really is just a number. I was married to a man almost 3 years younger, very happily I might add for 14 years. And my sister has been married to a man 17 years younger than her for 16 years. It just depends on the individuals and their maturity level.
I have had my share of 'no reply' from men. It does not bother me in the least. I take it as a sign that a friendship was not meant to be. And, some of the people that I have answered have been rude. Gosh, I even had one that would not talk to me because I went to a different kind of church. And let me tell you looks are not everything either. I actually went and met one of the men I had made friends with, very nice looking and made all that money that some of those other women are looking for, but what a SNOB. Bless his little heart, I hope he does not drown in one of our west texas storms. LOL Hmmmmmmm....It really does take all kinds in this world and not everyone is interested in just friends. So take heart, it is their lose, not yours. Eagle151 my suggestion is to forget them and don't sweat the small stuff. Life is just too short to waste the energy on wondering why. larou
