RE: What Pisses You Off

The ignorance that pretends to, be intelligence.
This is US and it is getting worse, attention spans of like five seconds no one upset when Snowden released the knowledge the US spied on EVERYONE!

“I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time -- when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness...

The dumbing down of American is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance”
? Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark

American IQ Scores Have Rapidly Dropped, Proving the 'Reverse Flynn Effect'

Are we really getting less intelligent? Here's the truth.

A Northwestern University study shows a decline in three key intelligence testing categories—a tangible example of what is called the Reverse Flynn Effect.
Leading up to the 1990s, IQ scores were consistently going up, but in recent years, that trend seems to have flipped. The reasons for both the increase and the decline are sill very much up for debate.
Scores in verbal reasoning, matrix reasoning, and letter and number series all declined but, interestingly, scores in spatial reasoning went up.

IQ rates are dropping in many developed countries and that doesn't bode well for humanity
An intelligence crisis could undermine our problem-solving capacities and dim the prospects of the global economy.

Tedious, derivative and dull.
How does your family, assuming you have one, actually tolerate that level of mundane?
You can put coffee to sleep.

I am obviously more intelligent and aware than you.
Why deny it?
Some people are born to be mundane.
They work at menial jobs and go home to dull tepid existence.
Accept who you are now because it will not get any better for you.

Ukraine Accused Of Using Cluster Bombs On Russian Village Near Border

Ukraine Accused Of Using Cluster Bombs On Russian Village Near Border

Russian officials have accused Ukraine forces of using cluster munitions against civilian targets. The governor of Russia's Bryansk region on Tuesday said that a Russian village came under attack which lies near the border.

Gov. Alexander Bogomaz announced on Telegram that cluster bomblets were observed in a cross-border attack on the village of Klimovo, but no casualties have been reported.
Reuters said it wasn't able to independently verify the claim, for which there was no immediately available visual evidence. "The governor of Russia's Bryansk region has alleged Ukraine used cluster munitions on a Russian village near the Ukrainian border, hitting several houses," EuroNews reports.

Russian border regions like Bryansk and Belgorod in particular have come under frequent indiscriminate shelling throughout at least the last year of war.

It was only in this past summer that Washington escalated its support to Kiev through the supply of cluster munitions, a weapon type currently banned by more than 120 countries:

Washington controversially supplied Kyiv with cluster bombs in July - which was blasted as a "terrible mistake" by politicians and rights groups.

...Like a shotgun, they splatter explosive submunitions over an area as big as several football fields. These can then lie dormant like landmines, killing and maiming civilians years after a conflict has finished.

The Biden administration late last month announced it would likely include more cluster bombs in the next weapons package for Ukraine, which will draw on previously approved funds.
This isn't the first time that Russian officials have alleged cross-border shelling from Ukraine which used cluster bombs, with initial accusations having come as early as July, at around the time the Ukrainians reportedly received their first US shipments.

White House national security spokesman John Kirby at that time said, "We have gotten some initial feedback from the Ukrainians, and they're using them quite effectively." But if these latest attacks on Russian civilian villages are accurate, Putin could use it to escalate with continued large-scale attacks on decision-making centers across Ukraine, as the Kremlin has threatened before.

RE: What kind of dating site is this?

This young lad was attending one of the Scottish Highland games.
He gets pished, (Yes that is the slang), and starts walking home.
He makes it about three quarters of the way sees a nice spot mossy soft under a tree.
He passes out.
These two wee,( NOT THAT YOUNG YOU PERVS), lassies walking the same route see him lying there in his kilt.
One turns to the other and they have a conversation wondering what is worn beneath the Kilt.
One courageously sneaks up and lifts the kilt then ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhsssssss.
She takes the blue ribbon from her lustrous hair and ties a bow around his manhood.
Our lad wakes the next morning needing a ( PISH means BOTH).
So he walks behind the tree, lifts his kilt and stares at the ribbon.
He then says' I Dun know where ya been but ya won first prize".
( Better with a Connery accent).

RE: FEAR

Once upon a time, as a man was walking through a forest, he saw a tiger peering out at him from the underbrush. As the man turned to run, he heard the tiger spring after him to give chase.

Barely ahead of the tiger, running for his life, our hero came to the edge of a steep cliff. Clinging onto a strong vine, the man climbed over the cliff edge just as the tiger was about to pounce.

Hanging over the side of the cliff, with the hungry tiger pacing above him, the man looked down and was dismayed to see another tiger, stalking the ravine far below. Just then, a tiny mouse darted out from a crack in the cliff face above him and began to gnaw at the vine.

At that precise moment, the man noticed a patch of wild strawberries growing from a clump of earth near where he dangled. Reaching out, he plucked one. It was plump, and perfectly ripe; warmed by the sunshine.

He popped the strawberry into his mouth. It was perfectly delicious. The End.

Class-Action Lawsuit Filed Against Remdesivir Manufacturer Over Alleged Deceptive Practices

Deborah Fust, the surviving spouse of Michael Fust, and Edward Pimentel, who says he was injured after receiving remdesivir, are accusing California-based Gilead of failing to mention documented side effects in its promotion of remdesivir.

"It's a terrible drug. The nonprofit has thousands of members who have the hospital records, and you can see there's a big difference in the creatinine levels and the blood levels, kidney readings after they get the remdesivir," Bradford Geyer, an attorney with Former Feds Group who is representing the plaintiffs, told The Epoch Times.

The FormerFedsGroup Freedom Foundation, a nonprofit, has compiled some of the cases on its website.

The suit says that Gilead's press releases and statements to consumers and investigators from Gilead show "a pattern of downplaying or omitting altogether the clinical dangers experienced by patients from remdesivir use, instead emphasizing its supposed benefits, safety, and efficacy."

For example, a website for the drug, also known as veklury, makes no mention of kidney problems. A handout (pdf) given to patients also does not mention the issues.

"Defendant's advertising that remdesivir is a safe and effective treatment for COVID-19 is false and misleading to a reasonable consumer, including plaintiffs, because defendant in fact knew or should have known, based upon prior studies and data on remdesivir, that it was unsafe and posed a high risk of severe adverse effects and death to plaintiffs and the class," the suit states.

The advertising "misrepresented and/or omitted the true content and nature of the drug," it also says.

Gilead did not respond to a request for comment.

Plaintiffs are seeking class status, which would enable two groups of people to join the suit. They are people who received remdesivir while hospitalized with COVID-19 and suffered serious injuries as a result, and people whose loved ones died after receiving remdesivir after being hospitalized with COVID-19.
