Between dream and reality are usually laws and practical issues that prevent you from taking steps like this. That may sound very rational but it is the truth I am afraid.
Apart from that I do not believe that being with someone will make you happy. It can only add to the happiness you already feel. In other words taking drastic steps because you chase a mirage isn't what I would recommend.
Only if you knew that the combination of people works well it could make sense and even then it is good to realize that the toughest test of a relationship is usually going abroad together. I have seen them fail more often than survive this one to be honest.
