hey Karlene, give some thought to maybe they weren't the right man for you, there is someone out there for everybodsy..trouble is we always end up with the wrong one and giving it our all. I am learning to back off.. why waste time getting anxious and worried when you can be out enjoying yourself too...just like them
Everyone has the power to change anything about their lives that they don't like. If they choose not to do that, then it is for reasons that are more important to them than their happiness is....
We can't offer happiness or love to other people if we dont nurture it within ourselves.

Now not everyone has the power to change anything in their life that they don't like or are unhappy with ... and why you may ask... simply because of external influences. People (both men and women) stay in a relationship even if they no longer love that person... why as they do not have the resources to change their life around. By resources I mean friends, money or even family.
But they can attempt to improve their life provided they are empowered to do so in the areas they can change. This takes strength and courage.
But I agree with you that if we do not nurture love and happiness in ourselves then we can't offer it to others as we would not have the compassion to do so
