RE: i love new jersey!!!!:-) i need gossip!

New TV Series in the UK - just started over here, a real life programme called Housewives of New Jersey - it shows very opulent lifestyles....... only for some people, same as over here! It is interesting to see how other people live, though.

RE: Going to NY end of this year

Thanks for this information, next time I go I hope it will be an independent trip so this is so useful. I stayed in Brooklyn last November in a family home whose basement apartment was let out, great to live en famille. But Teaneck, NJ is on my list of places to visit. Also the other information about NY on this thread is great, thanks to all you posters!! There's nothing quite like the advice of local residents.

RE: Going to NY end of this year

Hi I was in New York City twice at the end of last year, the first time just overnight before we flew back to the UK from a Boston and New England tour. The second time for 5 days last November.
JMO - you need flat, comfortable shoes and the best way to see the city is to walk it. We just got a taste of Chinatown's markets on a Sunday morning,(part of)Manhattan including Ground Zero - heart breaking, Central Park bike ride, Greenwich Village for dinner, the Theatre district,a coach tour around the city, a Hudson River and East River boat trip, Brooklyn, Brighton Beach, a drive up into Connecticut - really stunning experience and too much to write about here, it was a thrilling, buzzy time even for me, a country lover/liver. And even the Big Macs were astonishing compared with the thin little soggy burgers we get in the UK.
I am going back in October as part of a Canada and New England cruise, again only for an overnight stay, I have already planned what I am going to do to make the most of the time there. There is just SO much to see, so little time!
Yes, the Staten Island Ferry is free and a great trip - and I think the Top of the Rock is free too. Fabulous views. And just before Christmas, I bet the atmosphere will be excellent.
I would start looking on the web now and go into some of the tourist information sites to plan your holiday, there's plenty of information out there. Have a great time!

RE: Why do younger men go into older women profiles???

We are thinking along the same lines. Cynical I might be, and I am sure there are many reasons why this happens, but in my (one and once only) experience it was because the man wanted a UK passport. It struck me then how easily and quickly the word 'love' came into play. I think I would have been more impressed had he bothered to find out my surname! Charming!

RE: Why Dont Older Ladies Like Younger Men ?

My friends and I, all women of a certain age, have always had interest shown by younger men. And I mean MUCH younger men! We think, generally speaking, that it is a little bit creepy and we wonder about their motives. In the same way, we question the motives of very young women who latch onto older, successful men.......cynical? Moi??
