Real flight announcements
Occasionally, airline attendants make an effort to make the "in-flight safety lecture" and their other announcements a bit more entertaining. Here are some real examples that have been heard or reported:

"There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane..."

Pilot - "Folks, we have reached our cruising altitude now, so I am going to switch the seat belt sign off. Feel free to move about as you wish, but please stay inside the plane till we land ... it's a bit cold outside, and if you walk on the wings it affects the flight pattern."

And, after landing: "Thank you for flying Delta Business Express. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride."

As the plane landed and was coming to a stop at Washington National, a lone voice comes over the loudspeaker: "Whoa, big fella. WHOA!"

After a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms in Memphis, a flight attendant on a Northwest flight announced: "Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because, after a landing like that, sure as Hell everything has shifted."

From a Southwest Airlines employee.... "Welcome aboard Southwest Flight XXX to YYY. To operate your seatbelt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seatbelt, and if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised. In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are traveling with two small children, decide now which one you love more.

Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but they'll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Southwest Airlines."

"As you exit the plane, please make sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses."

"Last one off the plane must clean it."

And from the pilot during his welcome message: "We are pleased to have some of the best flight attendants in the industry ...Unfortunately none of them are on this flight...!

Heard on Southwest Airlines just after a very hard landing in Salt Lake City: The flight attendant came on the intercom and said, "That was quite a bump and I know what ya'll are thinking. I'm here to tell you it wasn't the airline's fault, it wasn't the pilot's fault, it wasn't the flight attendants' fault.....it was the asphalt!"

Another flight Attendant's comment on a less than perfect landing: "We ask you to please remain seated as Captain Kangaroo bounces us to the terminal."

After a real crusher of a landing in Phoenix, the Flight Attendant came on with, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please remain in your seats until Captain Crash and the Crew have brought the aircraft to a screeching halt up against the gate. And, once the tire smoke has cleared and the warning bells are silenced, we'll open the door and you can pick your way through the wreckage to the terminal.

Part of a Flight Attendant's arrival announcement: "We'd like to thank you folks for flying with us today. And, the next time you get the insane urge to go blasting through the skies in a pressurized metal tube, we hope you'll think of us here at US Airways."

Thanks sweety, how come no one has emailed me or sent me a flower then if I am so good looking? I guess it's true what they say : "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Well I think you are also!

Hey Assets how are you thanks for your reply, don't get me wrong I am used to being alone also. 11.5 years in the Army I know what it's like being alone, especially on holidays. But I just figured here on a singles site where everyone is trying to meet someone there would be someone out there that would want to spend a holiday getting to know someone else. But I am completly comfortable in my own skin and understand that another holiday alone isn't the end of the world! Too bad I don't live near you, maybe we could have dinner together.

Well thanks for the sentiment. I am glad that you have learned to overcome the distress of being alone, it's not so bad your right but every once in awhile it's nice to have someone around, that can actually respond to you in a mature way. (sorry that didn't sound right did it) nothing XXX here!!!!!! Well it would just be nice, that's all I am saying. ANYONE OUT THERE?

Well unfortunately I am not near you (anymore) I used to live in Europe, Germany mainly (11 years army) But I will tell you that you are absolutely gorgeous, and if I was over there then maybe just maybe I wouldn't be alone today. Not sure how this sounds but I guess I am glad to see that I am not the only lonely person out there today. Still haven't found anyone who would like to spend Thanksgiving with me yet, so if you are in my area and would like to have some company or give some company hit me up. You are so right. Thousands of people around us on any given day and everyone has blind eyes. It's so amazing that this powerful tool that God gave to us (LOVE) is so under used. We create our own tools and weapons in order to hurt others and we use the hell out of them, who knows maybe one day we will get it right.

Thank you and as for you well how come there are no photos of you, we would all love to see you and enjoy a face with the wit. Well the compliment is warmly welcomed and believe me if I could find a nice girl I would have done so already, I was married for 11 1/2 years and I have come to realize that there are alot of women in the world today that proclaim what they want and then when they have it they don't even realize it and treat it like CRAP. But maybe just maybe someday I will find the one who will be truly looking just like me and when we find each other she will have all she has ever desired... (I mean ALL) if you know what I mean!

Hello fellow singles, as another Turkey Day comes and goes I find myself all alone again! But this time even worse, my daughters flew off to Texas to be with their family. A rainy, lonely Thanksgiving well that will sure go down in the memory books. Well the reason for this blog is to see how many other of you are spending today alone (truely alone) and maybe we can matchmake here (obviously only locally due to travel restrictions) who knows maybe even I can find someone who would like to spend Thanksgiving with me also. So lets get going start posting!! And Happy Thanksgiving to all.
