RE: Only curious about women not answering emails.

I'm thinkin' that it just comes down to common courtesy, or lack of it. If a person makes an effort to send me an email - even if I am not interested I will respond. It's just being polite. I guess some people are just too busy, and I think the lack of response says more about a person’s character than a 1000 word email.

RE: Am i too old for this site?

What is too old? Maybe you’re at an age where you never expected to be in this position. Personally, my current situation wasn’t necessarily how I thought my life would be at this stage; but hey, that’s life.
It seems that we live in a world where everyone seems to be going nowhere fast. How are you supposed to meet people these day’s. Sure, you can resort to the tried and true social events, and they are what exactly? A couple of get together with friends, you already know a couple of times a month? How about going to a bar or club? Personally I’m a point in my life where, if I’m going to do that, I’ll be going alone as most of my friends are already paired up and are not up for going out to meet people.
While I’m not suggesting that it is not possible to meet people, I mean we do it everyday; belonging to a site like this just helps people connect to others of the same mindset and maybe looking for the same things.
Are you too old? No way.

RE: 60 year old gives birth to twins...???

While were at it, how about the 59 yr old in Calgary who is in the last trimester with Triplets!
Fertility Doctors in Canada would not help her get pregnant so she went to India.
I know it’s not fair that a man can naturally become a father well into his later years (Hello Pierre Trudeau) and most, if not all women, cannot. Sorry, life isn't fair. Sometimes you get screwed - or perceive you get screwed, out of something you want. Maybe there is a reason for it after all.
Personally I cannot think of a more selfish act than to bring a child into the world that you, as a parent, may be unable to care for during the time that he/she needs you most.
I know that there are no guarantees, regardless of age; but, short of my getting hit by a bus, the odds are that I'll still be around to see my son and daughter graduate from University.
The odds are that a 60 year old mother or a newborn born today, cannot say that. Her children may not even have the opportunity to pursue a higher education due to the fact that they will probably have to look after her.
Just because you can do something doesn't necessarily mean you should.
