I have found an interesting way to learn Italian: through memorizing well-known Italian songs and reading their direct translations. There is a Russsian site: where one can find texts of famous Italian songs and their simultaneous Russian translations ...but to use the site it is necessary to know Russian.

Could you please share your experience on learning foreign language individually?

At the end of this summer I will have business trip to Italy and Germany, and, would like to be able to communicate without the help of interpreters. Any serious suggestions about useful Internet sites, ways of learning, etc will be highly appreciated.
P.S. My natives are Armenian and Russian, English is a foreign language for me but I don't have serious problems with it.
