With fire in her eyes, and devilment in her soul, drove all the way to Wales - to avoid the pink rigged one. (She preferred Pink 'Ribbed' Ones), Pink ribbed ones that burnt rubber. Whatever it was she had, she had it Real Bad. She had it real bad coz she wanted bad boys.

Just a random thing, but lets write a story on CS where each poster adds five words to the last, just remember to quote the previous in each post. Eventually, we might even get to the second chapter....
Reading between the lines Nicholas, it appears that (currently) you do these things alone?. How about joining a walking/outdoorsy club, where you might well find like-minded single women, potentially in a similar situation...?
Just a thought...
Dive into the forums and get involved here as well, you never know where that special lady might appear from!
There are many tales of the end of the world, there are many tales of prediction, but far more of those theories are squashed when the new dawn breaks...
It's a mind-game. A mind game that I won't be party to.
Anyone that likes fairy tales might like to follow the link below.

VOTE EARTH by simply not being so bloody-minded and materialistic! If we turn the lights off, how much will it matter when we still drive to the garage at midnight because we've run out of milk?... get my point?!!
Does it really matter if we as individuals switch off the lights for a bit? (and is someone coming round to check? hope they don't want me to put the kettle on and make a drink for them while they are checking...) I hope too that the votes in Copenhagen aren't in printed form... or that the world delegates haven't been flown in, or used carbon fuel based transport to get to and from the Conference...
It's just a gimmick, to make people think they are doing their bit. (The feel-good factor) In the grand scale of things, any amount of change will never be enough. Whatever damage we've done as inhabitants of the planet has been done, and is individually or collectively irreversible.
The planet has gone through these changes ever since it was formed x amount of year ago. There is 'evidence' of warming and cooling throughout the planets' history, and this, no matter what we do, is a trend that will never change.
Bottom line is that the climate is changing, and people are worried about its' impact. So many politicians and scientists will try and convince us that we can do something about it, where in reality we cannot change the mind of mother nature.
What we can do is change the way we do things to make living through the climate change possible, and where (and if) it is possible, to make it as comfortable as we can for future generations.
What we need, as a human race, is to stop destroying the resources that the planet has provided for us, the resources we need to survive. We cut down trees which soak up the co2 and expel o2, in favour of our comfortable lifestyles. Soon, in as little as 100 months (to quote Prince Charles), the damage to the remaining rainforests will have tipped the balance, and any future efforts to restore the balance may well be in vain.
Before you think I'm banging on about the rainforests, take a look closer to home. We're doing the same thing here!
England used to be green and beautiful, with expanses of forests from one end of the country to the other, now, with an ever expanding population, the greenery is disappearing in favour of domestication, of houses, and factories, large industry. Grassed areas are being replaced at an all time record rate, and driveways are dominant where grass, trees and flowers once grew, a 'necessary' addition to our lifestyles. (Take a look next time you're out and see how many of these driveways are in use. I am often surprised by cars outside on the road and the driveway empty - are driveways necessary?), What once was a green and pleasant land is now becoming an island of industry, where green belts are a novelty. Once we had to travel to see industry, now, sadly the reverse is true, we have to travel to see the country.
I haven't even touched the surface, but hopefully I've stirred some thought. I can't change the world - we can't change the world, what we have to do, is to change our demands on the earth, so that any recovery from Mother Nature is given a helping hand and comes sooner, rather than too late.
