Theres been hundreds of end of the world predictions, they invent a new one every few yrs and the common theme is 'believe in god or you will be amongst the most severely harmed' - with this particular one, some folk have got very rich selling the books which are written in a very convincing way - its all a loda of spin and bollo*ks if you ask me 
The Mayan calendar comes to an end on the 2012 date for sure, but as the Mayans work on a cyclical method, all that means is that the whole thing just starts again.......

Just live each day as it comes why worry about what the future holds. End of the world is a depressing thought and if and when it happens it will be so quick we won't know whats hit us. So I will make the most of each day that I have now.

It is now the begining of the end of the world for some
people. Too bad, they live in fear,,most of their lives. They
take into consideration other people's thoughts without
considering their own. Spine-less,,,in a way. They bring
disasters upon themselves. The fact is,,,there will be no world
ending by some idiotic date. People need to think for
themselves,,,deeply without the crap of religion or politics
polluting minds. But hey, if they want to believe in it then go
