RE: What new book are you reading now?

I am reading the book Final Appeal, Anatomy of a Frame by Colin Thatcher. I read another book about the his trial for the murder of his ex-wife and thought I'd like to read what his viewpoint is. Haven't got too far yet, but it may be interesting.

RE: what is a player

I agree with you. I know I couldn't have put it any better.

RE: I need a woman's perspective

I couldn't agree with you more. I don't want to be anyone's second choice.

As you said "keep on walking dude".

RE: What is the most annoying question people ask u ???

That's good to know. I don't drink either and often get asked the same question.

RE: What irritates you?

People who ask really stupid questions that have very obvious answers. Think a little before you ask the question.

RE: What is the most annoying question people ask u ???

I know what you mean and I don't want to go into my medical history to say why I don't have any. Now I just try to ignore the question and hope they move on to something else, but some people can be persistent.

RE: What is the most annoying question people ask u ???

I get asked that one too.

RE: What is the most annoying question people ask u ???

The most annoying question I get is "Have you always been so short?" My typical response is No, I used to be about 6 feet tall.laugh

RE: Waking up to a sad day.

This was so sad to hear. It is amazing how mean children and adults can be to one another. I breaks my heart to hear stories like this. There is too much of this going on, you would think something could be done about it.

RE: Dating Someone On Disability

I am also on disability and have been for 4 years. I had to retire from my job because I was told I couldn't go back to work. I have met a guy on a different site and after our initial meeting I told him why I had to be on disability and he has just accepted it. We still see each other at least a couple of times a month. I have also talked to a few men from this site and explained to them and they have just accepted it.

So don't get too bent out of shape about it, and I don't think you should hold back on telling people you are on disability and why. It is your life and you are being truthful. I believe that is the best policy.

RE: What is the most popular sport in the world?

I agree with hockey.

RE: HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY

I'll get into it when I have something to say. I know I can do it.

RE: HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY

Thanks your words have encouraged me to join in more. So what if I say something stupid, I won't the first nor the last. So I will attempt to join in more.

RE: HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY

Really haven't met any friends either. I don't usually post in the forums. I'm afraid of hurting someone's feelings or sounding stupid.

RE: HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY

It isn't that I haven't met anyone from either site, but after being with one person for a year and feeling everything was going fine, just not to speak or hear from them! I guess in that respect I've lost faith.

I've been dealing with this all my life and so it is no big deal, all I'd like is someone to have as a friend.

RE: HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY

I'm not bitter, just rather frustrated. To each his own, but no one?

RE: HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY

I agree with you. I have been searching for a long time and I'm definitely not looking for the ideal, just someone to talk to and who will listen and spend time with. I am hoping for someone special to me and finds me special. I don't think that is to hard to ask for.

I was on this site before and found no one and then went on another site and then back to this one. I haven't found that person on either site so am contemplating leaving them both. It sure hasn't helped being on these sites.

RE: You have met someone you are not interested in, is it better to be

You should be honest but do it gently.

RE: Are you single

Yep, never been married.

RE: retired or disability

I'm a 55 year old woman who retired, at 53, because of a disability and I receive disability benefits and also a pension from my old employer. So there are women out there also who are not that much over 50 and have retired.

RE: what is too old

I agree with you Rose. I am not out to scam anyone. I had someone try to scam me and it is not a great feeling. I left CS for about a year before deciding to give it another try. It goes without saying you are never too old.
