Only in that most men feel their masculinity is at stake whereas women do not have that flaw with pride & ego generally speaking for I'm sure there are women who do but on a much smaller scale. JMO
I would consider myself an Alfa-male only in the protective aspect but not without feeling or sensitivity to my significant other whether she be Alpha-female or not. I am not the type and you do not know me as I am one of many men who do not need a strip club to profess my masculinity(actions are louder than words).. JMO
