last girl (i wouldnt even call her a woman) i met on here - not saying names - almost made me give up on dating altogether. big scammer, player and smelled like rotten cabbage. the whole package was completely opposite from what she told me she was online then we moved in together.
long story cut short... she cleaned my bank account and cash advanced my credit cards. beware of scammers people. dont be too trusting.
how's everyone? i usually don't post these forums. i just wanted to know what everyone thinks about dating people they met online. is it the popular consensus that a true, lasting love can in fact blossom (let alone exist in the first place) even though it can start off as an online relationship?
i'm not angry about anything nor am i venting here please don't get me wrong. it seems to me relationships that start online typically don't work out in the long lasting sense because people don't gain the natural impression of accomplishment. what i mean is; they meet others behind the safety of their computer monitors in the security of their own bedrooms so the lack of feeling they are 'physically pursuing' the other person is taken from them.
if people don't have that feeling of - and please pardon the cliché - 'thrill of the hunt', they are less likely to value the hard work it takes to trick the other person into believing they are the best match for them... maybe trick was a harsh word but in pursuing the other potential match, we are all getting interviewed whether we would like to believe it or not.
i wont make this into a philosophical discussion so ill end with that. i just wanted to know what everyone thinks of online relationships in general and whether or not they work in the first place.
