I already stated that natural law has been constant throughout time. Astronomers have found this out by observing the behaviors of stars. The farther the star the further back in time. The stars behavior is the same at all distances. Scientists who do not believe in God are calling this constant behaviour throughout history ID (Intelligent design). There is no random process that evolution is trying to prove. The God (ID) I believe in is the one science is proving, not the church. But let me make an observation here. This whole thread is not about God vs science, but God vs society. So let me throw a monkey wrench into the works. The church persecuted Christianity out of existence by the 3rd century AD and then started to pass itself off as Christianity, but in fact they are Churchianity. So the beef is with churchianity, not Christianity. And in that light, Christianity did nothing to deserve being kicked in the balls for interfering with society cause Churchianity did that.
Government and business have always been in bed together cause they go by the maxim, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer". - Sun-tzu. And when the government run health care kicks in the health care industry is gonna suffer to the point that the government will probably nationaize the whole industry. And of course the private sector has no self-correction or self-regulation, but they do have competition though. When they are not threatened by government run programs that step on their toes, they are only into restructuring and profiteering. Only when the government competes with them then they wise up and offer a better plan than the government and cheaper too.
Actually I believe in God because of natural law. I joined the Planetary Society cause they are trying to launch the first successful solar sail propultion system into space. Naturally Sandage became a Christian, cause there is no real conflict between religion and science.
The government has spent more than 8 years scaring the hell out of the private sector with their universal health care talk. That is why the private sector is self correcting and competative. If the government did or said nothing, the private sector would go back to restructuring and profiteering. In other words, in order for the private sector to clean up this mess, the government has to scare them to do so.
Nothing new about individuals shouting down government. What matters most is election results that speak louder than gripes. And I never get replies to any of my emails.
I get those all the time in my email junk box. Ranging from no coverage for free to full coverage for big bucks. I'm on Medicare HMO through Physicians United Easy for free through special help. Includes vision but no dental.
Okay. I agree with you that the private sector can do a better job than the government. That is because the government is starting to muscle into their territory. I know that if the government did nothing, neither would the private sector. Sooo, thank God for government intervention.
I guess I'll just create new polls. That way the CS members who are looking at posts but are not posting will have something to do in voting and be totally anonymous.
Nahhh. Free-enterprise had there shot. The rates keep going up. Thankfully government got way more money than the private sector sooo... Universal health care all the way.
RE: What percentage of CS members are mentally ill?
That's what my doctor keeps telling me. The world is crazy but only a small percentage seek help.
