it's somewhere I've wanted to stay for a long time
we used to stop in Llandrindod on the way to pembrokeshire when my children were little, the spa gardens have a giant chess set that they used to play with while mum n dad had a rest from driving
one year we arrived during Victorian week when alot of the locals dress in Victorian costume quite a tourist attraction
lots of guns about even in Stockport I've come home at 1 in the morning to see someone walking down the street outside my house carrying one .. and when I lived in a flat I often saw then in their back gardens showing them off to their mates..
shootings tend to be part of the gang culture but sometimes innocent folk get shot usually when they have been mistaken for someone else..
when I lived on the other side of the valley the corner shop next to my house was frequently the target of armed robbers and I worried that my children would get hurt walking past at the wrong time..
she never went out without her hat and I look at the pin and can see her standing before the hall mirror putting on her hat ( the first item of outdoor wear to be donned) then she would spend the next few minutes making sure we were suitably muffled up with coats fastened to the chin and our hands well gloves "you have to keep the extremities warm" before putting her own coat on tucking in the silk scarf and taking us for our walk.. the village if it was a Saturday and the cemetary Sunday.. if we were very lucky then a bus ride into Stockport with afternoon tea in the co-op..
