RE: Scariest movie of all time???

The Thing. Carpenter version.

Hands down.

Mr. Right v. Mr. Right Now

Hmmm. Okay, that certainly makes more sense, but personally I have only seen it as quoted above, and voLUminously.

And from how I read it, it refers to women certainly ATTEMPTING to only date someone they intend to marry — and, hell NO, I've never dated a one of em because A) bluck and B) who in their right mind does that? And how? Just logistically, I don't know how you would do the due diligence toward the end of excavating this mythical Mr. Right without passing through at very least a Mr. At-the-Moment, as it were? Time/space would seem to disallow this.

I guess you meet them and Jesus shines a sunbeam on them or something.

Mr. Right v. Mr. Right Now

To everyone who is looking for Mr. Right, Not Mr. Right Now:

That is hilarious. Did you come up with that? It is so very very clever, and it has made me laugh every one of the twelve hundred seventy-three times I have seen it used to delineate what someone is looking for versus what they are not.

Because you've taken that old chestnut used by socially repressed, lateral thought-begrudged, Donna Reed-esque debutantes in the 1950s, whose creative ambitions and life-plans were no more complex than "marrying right" and having drinks and potroast ready for Mr. Right when he got home, and you've put "now" on the end of it as a counterpoint to indicate that you certainly aren't going to be living in the moment any time soon, what with that whole scary notion of carpe diem lurking down those as-yet-unnavigated streets.

Bravo. Your own creativity is paint-by-numbers-riffic.

RE: sarah palin

Primary process. If she runs — which I desperately hope she does — she will be eviscerated in Iowa, at least if there are any Republican candidates left who don't just go down the line of fortune theology-meets-objectivist talking points. That might be a tall order — Michelle Bachmann and Palin would just be fighting over which witches or books to burn — but in clashes of ideas, stupid tends to out itself.

RE: LOVE..Is this a once in a lifetime experience?..Or just a merry go round?

FFS. To believe there is only One Love per life is like believing there is only one color, or only one note with which to make music.
