hi thats cool ask away and yes your right im new, i guess it is differant to what i expected yes, but not in a bad way or anything after all i have been on a good bit, but it does seem more of a chatty forum than a dating site so i guess its fair to say its not what i was hoping for or expected really but no harm done i'll give it another day or so before i hit the hiils !
actually the funny thing is ireland was awash with food at the time but the english landowners took it all and left us with only the dodgy potatoes to eat, so in fact the famine was forced on us by our oppressors, also on the coffins ships people were sent away for stealing a loaf of bread for their starving familys or if they were involved in groups interested in rebellion so alot of people didnt have a choice, the beaches around clare were piled high with dead bodies who wouldnt even be buried, sad and horrible part of our history that was forced on us
well im reading a book now its Patrick kavanaghs autobiography called the green fool, i cant recommend it enough, its when hes growing up in the time of ww1 facinating stuff to read what our country was like written by another genius
Heres an interesting thing about him you might not know, his dad was a seventh son of a seventh son and when he was on his deathbed and Michael was just a young boy he took him by the hand in front of the whole family and said "this boy will do something very special for ireland" it must have been a moment of clarity as we all know he won us our independence.

I much prefer one on ones where you can get to really know someone, thanks i had a nice week off alright i was lucky with the weather so i got a bit of a pat spillane !!
