My 18 year old nephew has Autism... My sister had to fight in the courts in order for him to have an education.... Now the fight continues for adult placement for him... 
Hopefully things will be better by the time your son grows up... 
)... I just left it on summer time... so it's right for half of the year... You get used to it after a couple of days...
