Dionne Warwick and Friends..... That's what friends are for

RE: A Sincere Apology to...

Hello. Fair play to you. We all have our 'off' moments, it's all part of being human. As long as we learn from them, it's all progress. hug

RE: EARS!!!!

Off myself soon.... Seeya wave

RE: EARS!!!!

Another '70s great. The animated video is uncannily close to what I used to picture in my mind when I heard this song. Even that father looks a bit like my Da.... scary laugh

Helen Reddy ......... Angie Baby

RE: favourite poems

One of my favourites. It is always lingering at the back of my mind whenever I put pen to paper, or commit my words to a computer. It has stopped me from putting my foot in it on many occasions laugh

A Word dropped careless on a Page
May stimulate an eye
When folded in perpetual seam
The Wrinkled Maker lie

Infection in the sentence breeds
We may inhale Despair
At distances of Centuries
From the Malaria-

Emily Dickinson

RE: Gypsy weddings

I agree. I took some fantastic photos of a traveller wedding during the recent snow.

Anyway, I've reached zero tolerance level for this thread, the word games and the dancing pumpkins are waiting wave super

RE: Gypsy weddings

How lovely to see that tolerance and good will to all is alive and well on CS roll eyes

RE: EARS!!!!

... and yet another one of their greats.... wave

Don't let me be lonely tonight.

RE: EARS!!!!

Here's a nice bouncy little song from 1970.

Love grows..... Edison Lighthouse

RE: EARS!!!!

This is a sad one. But, lest we forget!

They never came home... Christy Moore

RE: EARS!!!!

Yeah, you were guaranteed to get lucky if you asked a girl up to that one at the end of the night wink

RE: EARS!!!!

Yeah, you were guaranteed to get lucky if you asked a girl up to that one at the end of the night wink

RE: EARS!!!!

.... and even more soppiness...Ah, those were the days! smitten

Minnie Riperton.... Lovin' You

RE: EARS!!!!

This is the first slow set song that I was asked up for, aged fourteen, at a Sunday afternoon dance. Although the fella had a mop of mad curly hair, freckles the size of ha'pennies, and a couple of radioactive-looking boils on his neck, I was absolutely smitten heart beating heart wings .

Ain't love grand blushing

Stevie Wonder... My Cherie Amour

RE: EARS!!!!

Yeah, Liz and Richard were something else. But the photo that does it for me is Robert Redford washing Meryl Streep's hair. Drooooooooooooool!!! Next time we meet face to face I'll show you how to sign that one wink

Anyway, I'm in a right mellow mood tonight, so here's Rod again, this time with Bette Midler, singing about one of my favourite places.... Manhattan
