If because of a ruined economy, we're FORCED to choose where to spend our money; if we're relegated to third place, so be it. Logic dictates that we can't be poor AND on the cutting edge of ANYTHING. Choose your argument, support it with facts, acknowledge its downside, fluff-up its upside and lend credibility to your idea. If, finally, you don't like any of the results, enter a new search condition: Glen Beck. There you will find a kindred spirit who will support your beliefs, even if they. too, are misguided.

I guess it's sorta like mandatory automobile insurance: if you don't carry it you're breaking the law. How is this any different? If mandatory automobile insurance was a Democratic idea, you'd be opposed to it, too. Meanwhile, you're for it because its a good idea. If you fudge a little bit on your taxes, that's against the law; how many people do it? If you exceed the speed limit, that's against the law; do you speed? It's against the law to employ undocumented workers, how many people employ them or employ contractors who employ them?
