Ours are pretty similar Ray,

I was at a drive in with a girl one night and just as we were about to take it from the heavy forelay stage to well...a light shines through the window and a cop says to get out of the car. As (my) luck would have it he was the dad of the girl who had just made me break up with his daughter with after he'd caught us together in their swimming pool. Needless ta say along with not getting to "finish", he put us both in his car, drove her home, had me face her folks, then took me home and told mine...

(high school memory) The parents of the girl i was dating came home early and i was tied to her bed and she was ridin' like Seabiscuit runnin' for the roses...not only was it embarrasing, but just a "little" dangerous...don't ask. *Shivering from flashback*

A TRUE courtship should be approached with romance, passion, laughter, and an unconditional open line of communication. This ain't a one time ride for 8 folks, we're talkin' about a CAREER tryin' not ta get bucked off here. I could delve deep into this but we all know what it takes...don't we? I mean, it's really not that hard ta figure out. Once ya get past the puppy love part, it's all about givin' each other 100% of who/what you are. Ya don't set boundaries/limits, make 'em change, TELL the other how somethin's gonna' be...NO. Ya take time ta learn about each other, try different things, find stuff out. If she's affectionate and he's not...RED FLAG!!! If he has a poker night and she says not if we're gonna be together...QUICKSAND!!! If AKD tells her new beau she also likes the Ladies and he's not into that...call it a day(grinnin' at AKD, sorry Darlin')!!! Aaaaaaaaaaand...i'm off my soapbox. Just throwin' mine into the ring. I'm very saddend by your stories yet at the same time glad that they have made you stronger/better people.

I would have to say my nephew who is fighting a rare incureable disease and my baby brother who has just returned from Iraq. I was always the strong one growing up and felt that i handled everything better than most but realized that any of my adversities were/have been/ and are now pale in comparison to being diagnosed with a disease that you will never recover from or having to leave your wife and three children(one being two weeks old)to go to war. There have been many people throughout my life that gave me opportunities and chances to better myself, but at this moment these two young men and their situations are what is keeping the flame under/in me burning to make even bigger differences than just being there, giving advice, doing favors, etc...Like i said, when i read stories such as Cautious and Open's, and look into my own family, i have no problems...I'm very lucky to have been blessed with a positive outlook/attitude, and i'm Thankful for that everyday...

Bottom Line...

You're not gonna find out about someone's personality unless there's enough physical attraction to draw you near in the first place. I'm an eyes and lips man first and foremost and also like a little bigger woman. I do not want a woman that looks like a straw, nor do i want a woman that resembles last years sumo wrestlin champ either, just my preference. Everyone keeps askin' that when the looks go what is there? People don't grow uglier, they grow older. Looks have nothing ta do with size. Believe me when i tell ya that i'd pass up Paris Hilton ta get ta Caroline Rhea any day of the week...But to call someone shallow or judgemental because of thier preference isn't anymore fair than the reason you're doin' it. Tell the truth Ladies, first glance now...Brad Pitt or John Goodman? George Clooney or Drew Carey? And be honest. Aaaaand...i'm off the soapbox. FIRE AWAY!!!
