BUT!!! unfortunately, either you have never been to Malta or all your neighbours are actual saints....

almost impossible to build fences in urban areas like where I live my friend!!

What's the big deal about AGE??? my reply to the question" How old are you?" is always the same..... "" I'm _50 years YOUNG!!! & seeing as the "0" doesn't count as a number than I'm 5.... Lol still gotta lot of growing up to do!! But life dishes us out some good &/or bad times... experience is what you get out of age anyway!!!!

Like all other countries, whether legal or not, drugs are sure to be found...some more easily obtained than others.... but in this tiny Mediterranean gem, penalties can be anything from very harsh to absurdly ridiculous... depends on who you are & whom you know!!

I have always been rubbish at learning languages, but as I now live in Italy I at least make the effort to not only learn the language but the customs and the culture.

Go brush up on your Maltese history & then speak!! They didn't have to feel alienated because foreigners like them ruled our country & not because the people made them feel like that....
If anyone was treated like an alien and barely tolerated, it was us because we were needed to serve them!!

& one other thing.... I have more than ample time for visitors to our country... but ones who respect the country they're visiting & its people!! Not the kind who are condescending & think they own the place...

....But that is the whole point....you should never have had to feel like an alien ever!! Malta & Gozo have been a part of Europe all along & not just since we joined the EU!! Apparently this is something all you foreigners forget, when it is convenient for you to do so!!

But what we do remember is.... under foreign rule, especially under British rule, local amenities & most(the best)areas where out of bounds for us locals, having been taken over by the British forces!!! No wonder everyone here treats us like we were the scum of the earth!!!!

That is YOUR idea of how & what we ARE, but let me assure; official represantative or not, will never allow anyone like you or MiamiPetey, to rundown our country or make fun of us in any way!!! There's so much you don't know about our islands....Better to catch up on some good history, & not just the kind you find in books....instead of running around trying to impress!!! MiamiPetey is using Gozo as a stepping stone in his retirement days, same as you are, and only because we locals speak English & not for the love of the place as us locals do!!

You're guests in our country so if you don't like it that we are patriotic, then get back to wherever it is you came from!!
