The sad part is in the end I was made the bad person because I brought it up. I saw a totally different side of him that I hadn't seen before. Very defensive, called me ugly names etc.
After telling him to grow up, I thought "Boy I am glad I ran from this one"
I went into things with him with an open mind but in the back of my mind learning somethings before I went out with him.
I wanted to give him a chance but as I found out more about how the child felt of him going out, asking a million questions of where he went and who he went with to even asking if he met any women. Shoot my daughter when she knows or even when she was younger would tell me go have fun.
Today when shes home she might ask who I am going out with and then when I get home she might ask if I had fun you know teenagers. lol
When I did approach him last night on the situation and how I was considered about his daughters issues on him dating.
I was told to never say that to him again.
I have since then chose to walk away. I made sure I told him he would never be able to have a healthy relationship if she continues to act the way she has over him dating.
I found out the true man last night when he went stupid on me.
Thanks everyone for your great advice. I am a single parent myself and my daughter is 18 now but she never acted that way when she was younger to me dating. I never brought a man around until I knew for sure that things would last so she wouldn't get emotionally involved.
I can say I have dated guys before with children and have never in my life ran into this kind of situation.
Would you continue to dating someone who's 9 year old daughter controls the parent?
The 9 year old doesn't want her Dad to date anyone. If he goes out he has to hide anyone in his life to the daugther and when he does go out the daughter will stay up to drill the father of where he went, if he met any women, what he did and who went with him.
Her mother passed away 3 years ago but the child runs the house now.
