He was used to gain support for Fine Gael. He did not want a front bench seat, he just wanted to deal with economics and try to make a difference. Yes he is quite a cocky individual, but he is a very smart man. His knowledge will be sorely missed in politics. He was supposed to be the new young blood that this country needs. Money is not the issue, please dont focus it around money. Bruton did not want him there in my opinion, as it was clear if Lee was promoted, the only mans job he could take was Brutons.
The man made his own choice, im certain there is more to it than what has been shown by him and by the media. If it was such a great job, he would still be there.
I have never been married, but have seen friends' marriages vanish. It really is sad on occasions, but other occasions its very necessary. Marriage could be a thing of the past in 100 years.
