I think they can work .. personally ... I dated a guy from Colraine in 2000.. think it was 6 hrs trip to Ennis each way .. and he did it on a regular basis for over a year and a half.. it was not the distance.. it was more me .. and I was scared of the long term commitment ..
but then again I'm a romantic .. I think if the person is the one distance is no object.. i know soppie romantic hey ...
