This just happened to me with someone I met online. We talked for hours for two months straight and he was coming here to meet me this week as a matter of fact. I booked the week off on vacation to be with him and his 3 children.
He made a bad decision and he wanted me to help him out of it and I couldn't, so he got upset. He left the conversation abruptly one evening. A day later, we got to talking again. When we discussed what was going on and the truth was coming out, he left the conversation abruptly again. He clearly does not want to resolve whatever it is that's creating this communication break down. I haven't heard from him now the past 48 hours and I don't expect to either. I sent him one e-mail telling him that I'm not pleased about how he handled this. I also told him that I care enough about him that I'll let him go if that's what he wants. The ball is in his court now. I carry on with my life in spite of what's going on.
The other thing that came to me as this is all happening is that I may be involved in a Scam, so now that I've exposed the root of it, there is no more contact. I dig pretty deep when I'm talking to people to know what I'm dealing with. Anyhow, doesn't feel good to be cut off. That's life though and always remember that whatever they are putting out will always go back to them. There is no getting out of what actions we take towards others...So it's best to just Love Them Out Of Your Life. That's what I'm Choosing to Do...
Hi: I personally haven't had experience with the cross boarder dating. I work with someone who has though. This person was from England and the other from Canada...They had met online. Talked for a while and the woman decided to come here to be with this man she met and has been happily married for the past 9 years. So, it can work. People have done it and there's work to do to have that happen. If you feel it's worth the effort, then it's worth it for you. Nobody can really tell you have it works other than yourself and how you feel.
