It would depend entirely on the woman herself. Some women could carry of that look very well and others couldn`t. I don`t feel one can make a sweeping statement about humanity in general. There are so many variations and permutations, one`s own view would be subjective and may be biased depending on your own experiences, good or bad, with someone attired in such away.
If you have to ask the question, I would imagine the answer is no, in your case anyway... Do other peoples opinions really matter ? Only the two of you can decide what is right for you as a couple.
There was an advert on the telly a few years ago and the line I remember from it is: "One instinctivley knows when something is right"
