RE: why is it so hard to meet people of my age

The name Scrooge brings about pre-conceived ideas of someone being tight with their money dunno Although he may have become a reformed character I'm afraid his name remains synonymous with tendencies to be a skin-flint!

... but I'm sure you will find the perfect lassie no matter what your username - Good luck Mr Scrooge!! cheers

RE: whats the biggest age gap you would date

At a guess I'd say 10 years either way but... it's a hard question to answer because it's the person I'd be dating and that wouldn't be based on the amount of years she has lived!

That said, there is still limits... uh oh

RE: What's made you smile today?

I'm on a weeks break from work, I woke to find the sun shining (a rarity in Inverness) and whilst walking along the banks of the river I saw two Red Deer happily munching away without a care in the world... plenty to smile about today! grin

Hi from the UK

Well my excuse is the misleading advertisement...'Connecting Singles"!! I came seeking a partner but it's starting to look like all I am going to find is a padded cell...

RE: Would anyone be interested in a Wildlife/Nature thread?

Any advice on what to do with an over-protective, deranged seagull?

I live quite close to the River Ness and to leave my house I have to make my way along a wee path... but this is easier said than done!

Alfred (name taken from Hitchcock film - The Birds)seems to spend his entire time just waiting for me to appear and then dives with a bone-chilling screech straight for me uh oh

I understand that he/she may be protecting their young but I am becoming virtually housebound and am having to cook a large Bacon Roll to chuck in the opposite direction as I race for sanctuary - I have tried cheese and even sausage but Bacon seems to be his only weakness! help

Apart from that... I'm Pete - Joined today and looking forward to getting to know you all! wave
