What I have discovered, in my attempts at partnership, is this...I immediately fall into the "friend/girlfriend" category. I think I appear too "feminine" in my behaviors and communication, so women like to talk to me about their problems, relationships, etc. I'm learning to show my more masculine side. I think that is the problem for a lot of men. In our culture, in my opinion, we do not have healthy rites of passages. I think that's a big contributor to the relationship problems of today. We don't know, or maybe, understand, our roles.
I would have to say that both exist within each of us. It is the way that we define these things that separates us. I think religion defines the physical terms, in which one enters into those states of relationship with the deities of your choice. Spirituality expresses itself in the forms of emotions, feelings, the innate sense of the one being a part of the whole. Religion, the physical state; spirituality, the emotional state; and the two combined form the mental state, which promote ideas, beliefs, how we express these ideas to each other, in the ways we each uniquely communicate. Are my ideas clear? Does this make sense to anyone else? Is this on topic at all? Bleh!
