My favorite team of all time was the Cincinnati Reds of the '70's, better know as the Big Red Machine. Rose, Griffey, Morgan, Foster, Bench, Perez, Concepcion, Geronimo. They had it all; hitting, pitching, and defense! What a team!
A few words concerning the common business phrase of "dropping the ball". In my view, it's one thing to drop the ball, i.e., not follow through with what's expected, but it's another thing entirely to just leave it on the floor. Most often the one who picks it up is not the one who dropped it in the first place. I think things would be a damn site better all round if everyone would at least try to recover their own fumbles. But I could be wrong.
