Red

Once told it was the natural accent of darkness
...That when worn,
You could witness how blackened one's heart is
The color pessimists connote as evil and hell
And optimists as the love we see in ourselves
Literally, the oxygen filled liquid inside of our veins
..that when released, it coincides with our pain
Or a flower in the ground, that is represented as love
...Reminding us that beauty is not always sent from above
The highest point is beautiful, yet...thorns all around
Abundant and sharper, the closer you get to the ground
Tempted to reach, even when you are told not to
Reminding that walking hand in hand with the Devil...
...will cost you.
