Starving Child.

Starving Child.

Can you see me as I sit here

Why do you ingnore my outstreched hand

I want only pennies to buy some food

You can see my bones though my skin.

I sit here each day as you pass me by

you see the hunger in my eyes, the rags that cover my body

the sores on my skin from lack of food

yet you walk pass, eyes to the front.

And all that I want

Is to take away the hunger

And heal my ravaged body

Please take pity on a human soul

I did not want this life

To sit here and beg

Why am I so different

I am only four....

9/11 A Tribute

9/11 A Tribute

Though many years have passed
the memories still fresh in our minds
tears still fall from our eyes
for so many souls lost.

Let’s not forget the little children
that lost their lives that fateful day
not given the chance, wasted lives
each one now in heaven.

Let’s not forget the firemen or the police
who gave their lives so unselfishly
no fear in their eyes, just a job to be done
now hero's, everyone.

Let’s not forget the innocent people
who died that day all 2.000 of them
now shining bright as new stars in the heavens
eternally there for us to remember.

Let’s not forget that day
let them always be in our thoughts
our prays, our minds
let’s not forget 9/11...No never forget...

Citizenship

Citizenship

I am a citizen of this fair country
My hand on heart, a lump in my throat
When I see the Stars and Stripes raised
And the strains of Old Glory are played.

I am proud to be American
Proud of the people who live here
We stand for Justice, and Liberty
For the Freedom of Speech.

When the world is in conflict
We send our brave men
Only for them to come back
In coffins again, each one a hero.

We take the worlds oppressed
Give them food and water
And a decent life to live
In time, embrace them as our own.

Yes, I am proud to be called
A citizen of these States
A citizen of this great country
The United States of America.

INTERNET LOVE.

INTERNET LOVE.

Into your life I came

not knowing who you were

your name "Angel" so appealing

I wanted to know more.

As time passed by

we chatted and laughed

in the end, realising

that you were more than just a friend.

We grew so close

knowing each others minds

knowing each others hearts

we spoke of love.

Yet in this world

disappointment still calls

no plans can be made

no meeting can be.

Our heads tell us

that this is the way to be

with each having a little corner

forever in our hearts.

So sad is the world

that it cannot be

we still drift alone

if only there was hope..

You stay in your world of uncertainty

your pain at times so obvious

caused by the man you love

the man in your heart.

I stay here in mine

the silence surrounds me

my heartbeat slows

then fades away... I am no more..
