"Wanted: Alive" - was what she thought.
What she was marketing it seemed no man sought.
Not looking for a 10, a nice ol' 7 would do,
I want some one that will enter each relationship
like it was new...not like some old worn out shoe.
There's recipe for 'coupling' but it's not hard to make,
a bunch of fun - be it diced or whole,
a cup of kindness, for goodness sake.
Interests in common, heart to heart talks from the soul,
Listening well, with a pinch of play & it's ready to bake.
Frost it with romance,~ it's a leap of faith you should take.

About this poem:
I was thinking how many really good hearted and good companion + qualified people get passed by because they lack movie star looks - or the 'wow' factor. And in the process so much goodness is missed.

but wait - at least you've got a pair
though you're filled with hot air.
If you weren't so busy lookin' out for #1
you'd know that love doesn't hang around
when your heart's a closed door - it simply
can't be found!
