The fruit that hangs daringly

I fell in love and thought it was play,
I fell in love and my soul was gay;
I believed love was the way;
But I did not know it would go away.

I can write many lines that rhyme with the beat of my heart and still that would not explain the reality of writing this piece;

It’s your eyes that make me think I know you, but what does knowing a person mean;
Is it the ability to interpret his thoughts, is it finishing off his sentences, or is it making him tea at the right time, in the right cup with the right temperature?

It’s illusive, its deceptive it’s annoying, at times debilitating;
It’s like a ripe fruit that hangs daringly on the highest branch;
When you look up, the glare from the sun distorts its colour and gives you illusions of a myriad of colours;

It entices you from a distance with the conviction that I can get it;
It looks complete and almost intimidating;
It dares you to imagine how it will be to taste it;
All the juice ripe and ready;
The flesh soft and tender;

Every part of the fruit says have me;
It blinds you of everything that is around you;
Its beauty is naturally disempowering;

I fell in love

What we take for granted is that even the fruit that hangs so daring, falls one day;
And when it falls its beauty will vanish;
The illusion disappears with its descent;

The ground you stand on however is firm;
Reassuring;
Solid in texture and colour;
It secures both you and the tree from which the fruit fell;
You have the power and the ability to move away;
To walk on the same ground that holds both you and the tree firm;
When you look back; the fruit is still hanging daring you to come back and try;
But when you look again; you see that it was a season;

The fruit has fallen;
Flies abound;
Bees salvage what is left of it;

You can go back and stare;
But you risk the whiff of the rotten fruit;
Or the sting of the angry bee;

Or you can look back; and wonder why you were ever daunted by the daring fruit;
You were created with such power; made just lower than angels;
Everything on earth is your inheritance;
How amazing that a daring fruit made you wait under the tree;
As life passed you by;
As beauty passed you by;
And the daring fruit fell.

I fell in love and thought it was play,
I fell in love and my soul was gay;
I believed love was the way;
But I did not know it would go away.

New York...inspires love

Marry me, let's elope to the big apple,
Let's start our life here,
Let's make babies, they sure will love it here
Lets strall down Broadway, those lights were made for us,
Let's take a cruise down Hudson river, that too was created for our love, Let's go up the Empire State Building, and watch the end of the horizon, that's how far our love will stretch...
Hell New York will be our home,
New York, New York, the lyrics of the city are yours and mine to write...

Like a warm African breeze

Like a warm African breeze I will adorn your vision;
Like the summer’s sweat drop I will tantalise your senses

I am an Africa beauty indulge me

My presence beckons your attention
My eyes glows with sincerity
My voice, a melody of life’s encounters
My scent rich, and arousing

I am an Africa beauty indulge me

I am the reality of hope
I am the epitome of beauty
I am your woman

I am an Africa beauty indulge me

My hands turn soil to a nourishing garden;
My hands whip-up a meal to brighten a day;
My hands are magical;
My touch is soothing and healing;

I am an Africa beauty indulge me

My heart is a heavenly home;
My eyes lead you to unimaginable passion;
My lips are succulent;
My hips are …… oh so good

I am an Africa beauty indulge me

I am whole;
I am complete;
God’s perfect creation;
I am an African beauty… why not indulge me!!
