More About Me
I was a competitive runner for decades starting in high school in Eugene, OR, then Willamette University in Salem Oregon. I was a conference champion three times. I also managed to earn a B.S. in Psychology and Secondary Teaching Credentials. I worked for Nike over nine years including the last four years in Singapore. After I graduated I spent five months travelling through out Western Europe then returned to Eugene and eventually began my Nike career. After Nike I had my own running and soccer specialty store in the Tri-Cities for over ten years. The rest of my career was spent working in the security industry. That included being the supervising officer of the VMware Data Center for five years in East Wenatchee where I wrote hundreds of pages of security procedures including a 92 page security training manual. I also spent a spring and a summer at a historic nuclear facility near Livermore, California. Over the last eight years I have written and published on Amazon two novels and a novella. I am waiting for a proof of the novella. I worry now that I don't have another story to tell. I have bought a very nice electric piano as I played organ as a kid and played piano in college to earn all of my humanities credits. This piano is a low end professional model and I can't play it as it requires an amplifier! I will just wait until I receive the proceeds from my home as my former wife has to pay me for my half of the equity we built up over twenty years. I was a good student and worked very hard. When one is a middle distance runner 800, 1500 and mile relay the training is very intense and I also ran cross country in the Fall. I love listening to the music of our generation when we were young in the 70's. I now have about 50 CD's. Starting ages ago I have been to about 20 concerts including Steely Dan three times.
