I think you’re right, not that many people know about him… a bit of a one hit wonder to most which is a shame after so many years in the industry making worthwhile contributions to other artists recordings.
I’ve just caught up with four of his albums I’d missed and was delighted to find no less than three covers of JJ Cale songs on ‘One Step Ahead Of The Blues’… excellent! – especially the title track… wish this was on YouTube.
