Afghanistan 1984 Scenes from a secret war pt 1/4

In 1984, reporter Hilda Bryant and photographer Richard Pauli
traveled to the Northwest Frontier Province of Pakistan and then traveled to Parachinar and then Teri Mangal. Then traveling with the Mujahideen into the Jagjit province of Afghanistan.

Early in 1984 Sony corp released their new one piece broadcast betacam camera,untested, they loaned Pauli this camera and donated the tape for coverage of a small aspect of that war during the Soviet occupation.

This brief documentary won an Emmy for investigative journalism in 1984 Seattle.


Isn't it an irony! ... back to 1979-1989, America called Afgan Guerrillas FRIENDLY.

And now USA call them terrorists and enemies and kill
