From what i see and hear around, not many know that the composer of this mondial great hit was a french man, Claude François.. Paul Anka visiting Paris met him and liked the famous song, he bought the rights for an english version and you all know the following.. Frank Sinatra has been a wonderful interprete too! Claude is resting in peace for about 30 yrs now and i still miss him as he has enchanted my youth with both beautiful and funny sill songs that i used to interprete in front of my friends at the college lol - gosh, aging is not good !
