Extinct Plant -- It's Back Again

Scientist dug-up an 800 + year old Clay Pot in Wisconsin at the First Nation’s Menominee Reservation . They open the Pot and found another Pot inside full of Seeds , for a plant that was extinct for hundreds of years . As time went by , they tried planting the seeds to see if they would grow , and some of them did grow .. We now have back an extinct vegetable ( extinct Squash ) They named it ( Gete-okosomin ) which translates to “big old squash.” The Squash is now being cultivated to prevent it from becoming extinct a second time
