Located about 20 km north of Sousse, Friguia is a private animal park that hosts about 61 species in semi freedom. Inaugurated on November 11, 2000, Friguia wants to be a park protecting the animal species.
The park covers an area of ??36 hectares with 406 animals. visitors will find a real pleasure to discover the various animal species in a most pleasant natural setting. For their convenience rest areas are laid out (Restaurant / Pizzeria), as well as a kiosk and a souvenir shop.
Friguia park is the only private animal park in Tunisia that aims to ensure the reproduction of endangered animal species and ensure its reintroduction into its natural environment. The park works in collaboration with the General Directorate of Forests and the Zoological Park of Paris to ensure this function.
