Well, before you try to shoot me down in flames go read Ben Elton's book 'Chart Throb' ... it actually set out many of the game plays and strategies used by BOGT

" During the initial selection process for Chart Throb, the successful applicants are split into Clingers, Blingers and Mingers – respectively those who'll plead and beg, those who'll boast about their staggering talents, and those whose appearance alone will get a laugh.
After that, every aspect of the show is scripted in advance – from the judges' arguments to who makes the final.
The auditions are a sham, the panel having already decided from video evidence which contestants to see, and what to say about them.
The ugliest wannabes are made up to look as ugly as possible.

Hello….I do love Andrea Bocelli.
Just wanted to share something with you.
In 2001 I visited Pisa, Italy….never having heard of Andrea prior to that visit. I went in to a small , quaint restaurant for lunch and was seated by a lovely young (perhaps college age) young woman.
She was taking my order when this lovely song came on the radio ….all of a sudden she stopped writing , closed her eyes and was swaying back and forth with her hand over her heart. I immediately thought she was ill..and asked if she was ok.
She looked at me and just whispered…." Andrea ahhhhh." When I returned home 3 weeks later I bought my first Andrea Bochelli CD.
