I saw this piece in my local newspaper by someone who wrote this and sharing with others. Pretty powerful!

Lucy was in her sixties, but I’m just guessing, because it’s been more than thirty years since Lucy departed this world for her Heavenly home. It was back when Mercy hospital was still standing; back when we had three competing hospitals in this small rural city of Portsmouth.

I met Lucy at Mercy Hospital when her doctor referred her to our Social Work Department for discharge planning. Lucy had just been diagnosed with cancer which turned her world upside down. She had been referred to the cancer center for chemotherapy and stated, “But I don’t have any way to get there”. So I volunteered to transport Lucy there and back home each visit, and she accepted.

Our trips to and from the cancer center afforded us the opportunity to get to know each other pretty well. As Lucy’s condition declined she struggled to get in and out of her upstairs apartment. Therefore, I helped her secure an apartment at “Old Market Square” and my brother, Tony, and I moved her in with his old white van. Lucy’s full-size bed was too large for her efficiency apartment. I told my wife, Susie, over the dinner table that I needed to find Lucy a half bed. Then our daughter, Mandy, who was six at the time, spoke up and said, “Dad, Lucy can have my bed. I can sleep on the floor.” So Mandy did for a while.

I eventually invited Lucy to church with my family and she accepted. The church embraced Lucy and Lucy embraced the church. But it was a while before Lucy embraced Jesus as her Lord and savior. Just so you know, there were no strong-arm tactics, no emotional blackmail, and no manipulation. You see, God won’t accept less than our love, and love can only exist when there is absolute free will and mutual consent.

Lucy attended church with my family and me for several months. She seemed to be doing well. She was spry and feisty, outgoing and getting out. I can’t remember the reason for her hospitalization but she was admitted to Southern Ohio Medical Center. I visited her there and she seemed to be recovering well and was ready for discharge. She sat up at the side of the bed as we talked and I told her that I would pick her up for church Sunday morning.

I think you can understand why I was taken aback when Lucy’s daughter, Dee, called me that evening and informed me, “Loren, you can’t believe what just happened. Mom just died. I was at the hospital visiting her and she was sitting up on the side of the bed talking with me. She seemed like she was doing really good but then all of a sudden she told me, ‘Well Dee, I have to go. Jesus is here for me and I have to leave.’ Then mom smiled, waved bye to me, fell back on the bed and then she was gone.”

We are never alone when we are “in Christ Jesus”. If you don’t believe me, then take His word for it: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also…I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you,” (John, chapter15).

Lucy’s departure from this world reminds me of the words of a song by Carrie Underwood: “Old man, hospital bed, the room is filled with people he loves, and he whispers ‘Don’t cry for me, I’ll see you all someday.’ He looks up and says, ‘I can see God’s face. This is my temporary home; it’s not where I belong, windows and rooms that I’m passing through. This is just a stop on the way to where I’m going. I’m not afraid because I know, this is my temporary home,” (My Temporary Home).

Life without believing and without obeying God:is short and many troubles and suffer...!
Because there is no life without God.Is God who give life.
Therefore is needful to believe and obey God.God can help you and save you from troubles,from sin and from evil, when you believe and obey God.
Man who sin,makes life short and many suffers..! seek truth and read bible and learn of God.
God created everything, he know all things.Don,t try be clever or wise without God,evil will mislead you so
and so make you to sin against God and against other things.
seek God before is late ,believe in him and obey him,to be saved from sin and from evil.
And so to live with God forever in happiness.

St. Raphael, angel of chaste courtship, bless our friendship and our love that sin may have no part in it. May our mutual love bind us so closely that our future home may ever be most like the home of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Offer your prayers to God for the both of us and obtain the blessing of God upon our marriage, as you were the herald of blessing for the marriage of Tobiah and Sarah.
St. Raphael, friend of the young, be my friend, for I shall always be yours. I desire ever to invoke you in my needs. To your special care I entrust the decision I am to make as to my future husband/wife. Direct me to the man/woman with whom I can best cooperate in doing God’s Holy Will, with whom I can live in peace, love and harmony in this life, and attain to eternal joy in the next. Amen.

The day of all saints when we remember all beloved brothers and sisters who are not among us anymore. We, Christians beleive and hope in the Ressurection, if we live on the way of God's rules.

We, in Hungary celebrate this day as a public holiday. Well, today it is right on a Sunday:), but however, we go to the cemetary on these days to visit our loved ones' tombs and put some flowers there, or/and lighting the candles, and saying a pray for them. Ateists do not say any pray, just go away after visit.

And how the people celebrate this day e.g. in Western Europe or in America?

people in Ireland think the church should be opened .I was born in Ireland on good Friday .I have more love in my heart .then the church .I am not saying I am so great .but the church are evil .because .even the good people .that try to stop the evel .they were push out or cast aside .anybody that follows the Church .is doing the devils work .the c. Church have done more for the devil .then he could do .my school .there was a so called priest .that would drink whiskey. and play with him self .and fall a sleep .I know that hard to believe now .but this is 1967 .so I am saying .please don't follow a evel church .just prayers to Jesus. thank you TERENCE.

Who give you love?who is source of love?
Man can,t have love or woman can,t have love if God do not give!
God is love and God is source of love.
So why you do evil and sin against God ?
How can you love woman and not God?
or you love her just for sex and not real !
who are you that hate God or don,t believe God?
if you don,t love God you can,t love woman in real !
So can,t you see yourself you do evil from devil and like so to do.
it is devil that harden your heart and make you to do evil and not love God and not love your neighbours!
So you are sick,doctors can,t help you but only God can.
So it said in bible:love God with all heart.., and love your neighbours as yourself.
So God gives you life.so come believe and obey these two greatest commandments:1.Love God
with all heart..., and love your neighbours as yourself.
neighbours are people you see daily.
if you do so, you will be leaded to salvation.
So no one can live happy but he who believe and obey God.
So no one can know God nor understand but he who believe and obey commandments of God.
So read the bible and seek more truth to find,
and learn.So Love God and believe and obey Him and you will know how to love woman in real.
those who don,t believe God are as branches cuted from tree and casted into fire.
wake up and learn truth and the truth will make you free.

Every bad and trouble comes when you turns away from God.
But once you obey God continue-ly,God free you from bad and from troubles.
So God said:come turn to Me and I turn to you.
So evil and sin act to turn you away from God.
So what so ever you think against Truth and God: it lead you to sin and evil and suffer and troubles.
So be in control of your mind and be good and believe and obey God.
Can,t you see?The Evil is all evil powerful ,therefore be wise and turn away from bad and believe and obey God.
take the bible and learn.
There is two ways only:1. Believe and obey God. or 2. Rebel and sin and do bad which gives suffer and bad and troubles to you.
When you turn away from doing bad and believe and obey God, God will free you from all bad and from all troubles.

Hi! Why is not bigger life here in the Christian blogs? I can not imagine that there are no much more Christians than which can be seen here...

Pope Francis has recently come out and publicly stated he sees no problem with homosexuality despite the fact his "guidebook" the Bible has much to say,all condemnatory! For those of you familiar,perhaps former adherants, with the sordid history of the mass pedophilia that has taken place in the Church over countless decades and the Popes' unwillingness to fully address and make REAL attempts at reform, this may come as no surprise. For anyone who has studied the history of the Catholic Church, s*xual immorality has been a constant PLAGUE since its inception,Nuns pregnancy,abortions,pedophilia,homosexuality.....Ad Nauseum! I wont even go into,at this time,the selling of indulgences(allowances for certain sins),collected door to door by willing monks and priests.....or all the other malfeasance that prompted Martin Luther to nail his grievances to the Church door, thus sparking the Protestant Reformation! There is considerable study of the Bible that indicates the "religious arm" of Babylon during the Great Tribulation is INDEED the Catholic Church! If this is true,when anti-christ arrives on the scene,it will be the Pope and the Catholic Church that acts as the "False Prophet", for those of you familiar with the verses describing him in Revelation,power will be given him to raise the dead antichrist when he receives the deadly wound, and,some say,it will be at this resurrection that Satan actually enters the anti-christs' body! This isn't something I am making up, it is all there for the diligent Bible student! as always, let those with eyes to see and ears to hear beware, be ready, God Bless America, President Trump, and all of you!
