Zeelander: It is funny isn't it.... like Obama you don't deny the truth, just misdirect the conversation.

I see your confusion about American Government. Here conservatives are right and socialists are left. Down under the the socialists are right and the conservatives are left.

ttom500: I take that answer to be very little then. But now you know what to read for....if QLAR is or not there, please do post.

If it is not there, you can discredit totally Morris. A real political plum for liberals.

But my bet, this is last Velvet will post on the QLAR debate.

take the answer for what you want.......

if i post what i see written, you'd only twist it round to suit you anyway

BTW, spent pretty much the last 2 or 3 days on it

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo believe what YOU want to believe

just dont go sprouting it as the TRUTH??

Now that we all know where you stand with your politics and that you are a member of the National Socialist Party of Australia (NSPA), we can now move forward. If you would have stated this from the beginning it would have just been water under the bridge, but to lie and deny just made a much bigger mess of it.

I am out of here for the day... Y'all keep fighting the good fright against Socialists and I will be back tonight.

LOL....I leaving spouting truth to those that make hasty judgements. That can lose all respect for another person when they don't have all the facts.

Indeed the more, I have thought about this little tit for tat...
the more I came to conclusion, Velvet....you make a good QLAR administrator for the Obama administation.

You could walk into a elderly care facility, look at their ages and medical files of the elderly, then fill out the QLAR report on each.

Of course add in the end of life conselling session. Where you get to tell them.....at this point in your life....you have become non productive for the Obama state. We have looked at your Medical files and done a QLAR report on you.

So here are your two options. The choice of two pens. One is a ink pen so that you can put Obama State on your will as a one of the will benefitiaries. Or the other pen, which is attached to some Dr. Kvorkian end of life drugs. Because at this point, the Obama State has determined that it will not provide any more medical benefits for you.

14% of the US elderly live in long term care facilities. To the Obama State, they need a great amount of care and are non productive. More than young and middle aged persons need. Elderly care is the factor that is forcing the cost of the National Health care plan into the trillion dollar area.

The DEM Congressmen try to come up with a way to reduce it by end of life conselling programs and QLAR.....jmo

Sounds pretty grotesque Velvet, but I think that you got it in you.

So let me get this straight. The Bush administration was trying to kill off the poor by sending them to war. And the Obama administration is trying to kill off the elderly with euthanasia. Is there an over population problem in the US?

Try a little research before you make a comment.

1. the US Military is ALL voluntary.

2. Rich as well as Poor Join.

3. Congressman Charlie Rangel, D-NY on 2 occasions has tried to reinstate the draft to place more of New York's Poor in Military service to get them off the welfare books.

Yes it is voluntary, but incentives such as college tuition, bonuses & such are clearly in place to entice those that are poverty stricken into thinking they are getting alot of $$.

If you look at any major urban area, I guarantee there are more military recruiting offices in poor neighborhoods, than there are in wealthy. This is a no brainer and I don't fault the military for this however. It's easier to entice a poor uneducated person to want to leave poverty behind them, than it is to convince a wealthier, more educated individual. This is why the military actively recruits among high schools more so than colleges. They can get them young & dumb.

I do agree , both poor & wealthy do join, but again, the military does actively recruit more so from areas of poverty. Yes, I agree also that it is a 100% all voluntary military, but again, when your options are limited liked they are when you live in poverty, the military can look not only as a savior, but as a way out of the ghetto, when in the end, for over 5,000 men & women, it has lead to a grave over a war, that should never have been engaged to begin with.

Hey Zee, did you hear the President Obama cut back the laser star war programs? By about $400m. From #1.6b to $1.2b.

It seems that he cannot vision a nuclear armed Pakistan launching nucs at a nuclear armed India, who in turn launches nucs at Pakistan.

That having a USAF 747 with anti missile lasers to knock both of them down, flying over the Indian Ocean covered by a USNaval Task
Force....is not a military option that he would like a future President to have.

We have one of these flying today. But seems he is focusing on boots on the ground military operations in Afghanistan.

Of course he has used our military ability to provide disaster relief so well. The Tiawan 3pm phone call is still on the answering machine, waiting an answer.

I have to eat some words on the last paragragh of this post. First shipment of AID from the US just arrived in Tiawan. Plasitc sheeting for make shift housing just arrived. And expected to arrive soon is helos with crane and back hoe lift abilities.

Not sure if it US Military response or private NGOs.

58 countries have offered aid to Tiawan.

The Tiawan President is taking responsibility for a 'delayed response' to the cyclone diasaster.

What bugs me about hurricane and cyclone relief is this..........

satellite imagery and computer tracking of these massive storms makes their position and land fall contacts very well known in advance. These things are 500 miles across in diameter. Thier winds are known by various means of technology and aircraft that fly within them.

So why does it seem that governments fail to begin the relief effort until the event is over? Why not begin the relief effort before they strike land?

Agree'd. Seems no matter how well in advance we know of an impending natural disaster, we fail to be prepared. What is worse, after every event we say "we will be prepared next time" and once again, we never are.
