Some years ago my boyfriend then took me to Whatipu, we kicked backin an old 50's bach he then brought out an old portable turntable, there was no power, slotted in 8 big batteries and played 45's while drinking tequila, then stumbled out to this sand walled pathway to this incredible beach, you can see the old posts poking through the sand that used to hold the old clippers that would come into shore in the 1800's.
He talked about the history, I loved it. Cool guy cool time.
Do you have those storm shutters on your windows? I watch here in NZ that programme buying by the bayou, its incredible that people buy homes there that are so prone to tornadoes?
The closest I ever came to seeing anything significant, was a water spout touching down in Tindalls bay.
