Top ten cities

Costa Rica is not a city

Certainly there are many more beautiful cities in the world and each of this cities are appreciated by tourists for something ;some cities for art ,architecture,restaurants,wine and food diversity,night life other for the many cultural.
I give you some examples of cities located on five continents and that actually are not in your top ten cities,but they are appreciated by tourists.

Bangkok-Thailand -is a cultural phenomenon, a paradise with temples of various colors,glittering places,malls and famous night life.Chinatown is also one of the main attraction of Bangkok.

Cape Town -South Africa -here are some of the best golf courses in the world.The Bloukrans Bridge also here is practiced the biggest jump,bungee jumping in the world.

Sydney-Australia (paradise at the end of world)Sydney with the world famous Opera House with a futuristic architecture,Sydney Harbour Bridge and Great Barrier Reef,Australia's natural wonder is located in Oueensland.

San Francisco-USA-with Victorian architecture , etnic and cultural diversity.
The Golden Gate Bridge is the main objective in SF being one of the most famous bridges in USA .The Golden Gate Bridge is considered on of the seven wonders of the modern world.

Florence-Italy-is the center of art and architecture because of famous names as example:Dante,Leonardo da Vinci,Michelangelo,Rafael,Rembrandt

Vienna because it has me in it...

Seriously though Vienna is fantastic... just don't expect the locals to welcome you with open arms...

So true. Sydney, Austraila is noted for the most beatiful coral reef. Los Angeles California ,I was told by my uncle who lives 20 min. from there said he never goes there because of the rough people who will make you a target.He said where the Walk Of Stars marked in the side walk is all prostitutes now. Paris I was told by my Aunt who was there, is way too expensive to stay there for a length of time. They stayed in some one's guest house for $300.00 @ night, But I sure would like to try that out just once. Taj Mahol in Eygpt and the Great Pyrmyds the Great Wall of China, here we are very close to Niagra Falls, Canada which is one of the seven wonders of the world. I always wonder who exactly deems some people have the money to see these places and some never could ever afford it. When all is said, I think right now at this time flying anywhere would be an option I would not want to do. Great Thread , though . So many beautiful places mentioned and so many more.

I Agree this list under the condition that the order must change and some other cities like venice and Makkah should be added.
Istanbul must be in the first place. Why because istanbul has a unique location, historical background of more than 3000 years, natural beauty. Yes I saw some of other cities like london, Paris and newyork but Istanbul has a soul.If you did not live in
Istanbul you can not compare.

Turks are most hospitable people,I am not saying this as Turk. I heard this from many foreigners.

Costa Rica is a country not a city. Interesting list,but yes,as stated,reality isn't always so fun and exciting.Tourists are seen as fattened cattle around this world.Let's not forget that fact.

Cairo: is so dirty, polluted, overcrowded, bad smelling I wonder how it can find its place in a top 10 list like this one
Istambul: ditto as above. It also beyond my comprehension how one can love Turks that much. Have you ever really lived in Turkey for a while (and I don't mean lived in a fancy hotel)?
Rio de Janeiro: it is not only "fun, fun, fun", it's also "high crime rate, high crime rate, high crime rate" to the point that when you're vacationing in RdJ you better: 1) keep no wallet in your pockets; 2) wear no necklaces/bracelets of any kind; 3) leave your cellphone in your hotel room's safe; 3) wear the cheapest plastic Casio watch you can get so you won't be robbed; 4) hire armed bodyguards if you can afford doing so
